Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
Aeon Dialer is built on one principle: your calls are private. We do not record, store, or intercept call audio or video — ever. We do not sell your data, show ads, or track your behaviour.
Zero Recording Policy
Aeon Dialer has a strict, unconditional zero-recording policy. This is not merely a legal commitment — it is a technical design decision:
- All calls are transmitted peer-to-peer, directly between the two (or more) participants.
- Call audio and video never pass through our servers. We have no recording infrastructure.
- There is nothing stored on our end to hand over, subpoena, or leak — even if compelled by law.
- Only call metadata (duration, timestamp, Aeon IDs of participants) is stored to show your local call history.
1. Who We Are
Aeon Dialer ("we", "us", "our") is a private encrypted calling application. You can contact us at aeon@aeondialer.in.
2. What Information We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:
- Google Account (name, email, profile photo) — collected when you sign in with Google, used only to identify your account.
- Firebase UID — a unique internal identifier assigned by Google Firebase when you sign in. Used to link your account data securely across the app. Never visible to other users.
- Aeon ID — a unique anonymous identifier assigned to you. This is what others use to call you, not your real name or phone number.
- Call metadata — timestamps and duration of calls, stored to show your call history. We do not record call audio or video.
- Microphone / audio — captured during calls only. Audio is transmitted directly to the other party using end-to-end encryption and is never recorded or stored by us.
- Camera / video — captured during video calls only. Video is transmitted directly to the other party using end-to-end encryption and is never recorded or stored by us.
- In-app contacts — contacts you manually add within Aeon Dialer (name and Aeon ID). These are stored locally on your device and synced to your account. We do not access your device's contact list.
- Usage minutes — the number of minutes used in the current billing period, to enforce plan limits.
- Subscription status — your current plan (Free, Standard, Pro, Pro Plus), managed by our payment processor.
3. What We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect your phone number
- We do not record or store call audio or video content
- We do not track your location
- We do not access your device's contacts list
- We do not sell your data to third parties
- We do not show advertisements
4. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate your account via Google Sign-In
- To route encrypted calls between users
- To track usage minutes and enforce plan limits
- To process subscription payments
- To send call notifications (push notifications, if enabled)
5. Encryption
All voice and video calls are encrypted end-to-end using ECIES — Elliptic Curve Integrated Encryption Scheme — with P-256 ECDH key agreement and AES-256-GCM encryption. Every call generates a unique ephemeral key pair, meaning no two calls share the same encryption keys.
All plans (Free, Standard, Pro, Pro Plus) receive the same end-to-end encryption. Your subscription tier does not affect the strength of encryption applied to your calls. No one — including Aeon Dialer — can listen to your calls.
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the app:
- Firebase (Google) — authentication, real-time database, and push notifications. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google Play Billing — subscription payment processing for all users. When you subscribe, your payment is handled directly by Google Play. We receive only your subscription status — we never see your payment card details or billing address. Subject to Google's Payments Privacy Notice.
- Cloudflare — WebRTC TURN server for call relay when a direct peer-to-peer connection is unavailable.
- BillDesk — payment processing partner for UPI and net banking payments in India, operating via Google Play. Subject to BillDesk's Privacy Policy.
- Render — cloud platform hosting our API server, which handles call notification delivery, blocked-user verification, and account management. Subject to Render's Privacy Policy.
7. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers with industry-standard security controls. Call audio and video are never stored — they are transmitted directly between users (peer-to-peer) with end-to-end encryption.
All data is stored in India on Google Cloud's Mumbai region servers.
8. Data Retention
- Account data is retained for as long as your account is active.
- Call history records are stored for up to 90 days.
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. All your data is permanently removed within 30 days.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at aeon@aeondialer.in.
10. Children's Privacy
Aeon Dialer is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
